~It is a Christmas story AND a murder mystery…figured I couldn’t go wrong with this one~Very short story…might be a prequel or a special seasonal story for the larger series. After reading it, I didn’t have a lot of desire to continue on with the rest of the series.
~It wasn’t bad…I simply could not get in touch with the characters. She is an amateur sleuth; he is a cop…pretty standard story setup.
~I'd not recommend this specific story...however, the other full-length books in the series might be okay.

Maddie & Jack are really looking forward to spending the holidays together, this is supposed to finally be the one they actually get to spend together. Between family, friends, and work this may not happen after all. Join Maddie & friends for a great holiday adventure.
I recommend buying the whole series!
loved this short story and who would not want to spend Christmas with Jack Ramirez? As always it is a comedy of errors as they "try" for alone but their friends and fam did not get the hint. Little did they know what was in store for them a couple of years down the line,no more "alone" time. Great characters that we have embraced thru the years,Merry,Merry!
A cute little short story that still delivers a punch....proving that what you plan to be perfect rarely works out that way. but that you can still have something special.
This is funny, sexy and warm with great characters and a slice of Christmas cheer.
You will have a smile on your face when your done reading this story.

Christmas in High Heels is a short holiday mystery story by Gemma Halliday. Even though this book was short, it didn't disappoint me. It was just as much fun to read as the other books in this series. I really like all the characters and enjoyed spending a little bit of time with them as they celebrated the holidays, only as Maddie, Jack, and the rest of the gang can. I will definitely recommend this book to others. I also highly recommend the other books in the High Heels Mysteries series. You won't be disappointed.
Maddie and Jack Ramirez were spending their first official Christmas Eve together. All Maddie wanted was a quiet, romantic evening with Jack. Just as they were getting started, Maddie's Mom called. Then, there was a parade of visitors at their door. By the time Maddie closes the door on their last visitor Jack is sound asleep in front of the TV.
This is a short novella yet it includes all the wonderful, quirky characters we have grown to love. Gemma Halliday always leaves your waiting impatiently for the next book in this series!
If you like the Maddie & Ramirez High Heel mysteries, you'll love this fun little short story. As usual, nothing goes as planned and friends and family fill up the pages. It's a stand-alone story, but even better if you already know the characters. I treated myself to a little alone time on Christmas Day to give myself a gift of Maddie and was smiling all afternoon! Don't think because it's short that it's not worth the read, there is a lot of fun packed into these pages.
Great Christmas short story from Gemma Halliday!! Maddie and Ramirez are so excited to be having their first Christmas Eve together. Ramirez isn't going to be called in on a case and Maddie declines every single invite and call she gets. But as with all things Maddie, it doesn't all play out the way she wants.
Gemma Halliday is such an awesome author. Though this story is very short (22 pages), it is jam packed with details. I have thoroughly enjoyed the every story in the High Heel Mystery series and this one is no exception... Thank you for a great quick read.
